What usually goes wrong
People often try to add AI before the process is ready. The workflow is partly in memory, partly in old notes, and partly in chat. Without a clear SOP, AI has no stable process to support.
The core checklist
- What starts the workflow?
- What information is required?
- Who owns each step?
- What output is expected?
- What must be reviewed before completion?
- What exceptions need human judgment?
How to make it AI-ready
Once the SOP is clear, identify where AI can safely assist: drafting, summarizing, checking, classifying, or preparing work for review. Keep human review where quality, client impact, or judgment matters.
When to use a guide
The Workflow SOP & AI Guide teaches the method for turning workflows into SOPs, review checkpoints, and AI-ready implementation systems.
